Coming from New England, I was raised on REAL maple syrup. My brother used to tap the trees in our yard and we'd boil down the sap for days. Too many people are so "used to" the artificial stuff that the real thing tastes funny to them. I guess it's an acquired taste! There are many good ones at the grocery store, you just have to get used to it.
ReplyDeleteYeah...I completely understand...I like Maple syrup , but I am trying to transition from Cracker Barrel brand to 100% Maple..Soon, I do it in baby steps. I liked your childhood story as well.
