Ninjabread Battle !!!
I love making Gingerbread cookies this time of year. I have a variety of cookie cutters to choose from; however, I came across these at the store. I fell in love and so did my children. It comes in a kit with mix, but I just used the cookie cutters with my own homemade recipe.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of packed organic dark brown sugar 1 stick of organic butter, softened 2 large organic eggs 1/4 cup organic molasses 3 3/4 cups all purpose organic flour 2 tsp ground organic ginger 1 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp ground organic cinnamon 1/2 tsp organic nutmeg 1/2 tsp salt
Ninjabread Making: Mix sugar and butter together till creamed then add eggs and molasses. Put your dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Pour flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in the separate bowl. Mix well then add to wet ingredients and mix well. Then place your ginger dough in the fridge for 30 mins. After 30 mins, take the ginger dough out and begin to cookie cut!!
Bake at 350 degrees on a non greased cookie sheet for 9-11 minutes.
Icing:
1/2 cup of organic confectioner's sugar 1 1/2 Tbsp of water A few quick shavings of Orange Zest Mix until smooth and thick
Pour into a Ziploc bag cut the tip and decorate!!
